There is no mystery in the meaning of “Sovereign” for the educated individual. The meaning has been well established and used profusely in The Holy Bible and pre-20th century history books; always referencing God, Jesus or the noble kings of educated families, primarily of post-empirical Europe. That’s it. Simple!
Sovereign - (root: sever) A noble and just king, of divine ordination, whom, by that ordination is empowered, by the Supreme Sovereign(God), as the author of law and minster of justice in his nation, domain or realm.

The concept “Sovereign” has it’s origins in scripture as a divine ordination and cannot be accepted by the atheist. The anointing of a sovereign is confirmation of his/her “citizenship” in and of the Kingdom of Heaven, with a solemn duty to obey the laws of God and serve His will. It’s built into the laws of nature that one who does not recognize the King of Kings, Lord of Lord, Host of Hosts, is worthy neither of service in the Lord’s court or Citizenship in the Lord’s kingdom. The highest status an atheist can attain is “freeman on the land.” A religions freeman is a “Sovereign” prince in the service of his Sovereign deity, who wears the Crown of Creation.
